Onion and tahini dip

4tbsp olive oil
6 small onions
6tbsp tahini
1-2 lemons
400ml water
  • Finely chop the onions
  • Gently fry the onions in the olive oil (15 mins)
  • Mix the tahini and 4tbsp of lemon juice together in a jug and then slowly add the water
  • Add the tahini to the onions in the pan and gently stir round for 3-4 minutes
  • Season well and transfer to a dish for serving
  • Garnish with chopped parsley or paprika
