Cauliflower and purple sprouting in Far Bank 3 months later

Far Bank 3 months later

I've not written a word since July when we had just started planting in Far Bank.  The 'leap of faith', as I described it at the time, has paid off and we have 5 acres of some of the best brassica plants I have seen.  We lost some plants to wireworm, discovering that some varieties (such as the purple caul 'grafitti') are particularly suscpetible. All being well and if they survive the ravages of pigeons and freezing temperatures (remember them?) we will have some beautiful crops during winter and into the early spring.
