Planting cauliflower in Far Bank at Stowey Rocks on the Quantocks, Somerset

A leap of faith

Yesterday we once again ventured into Far Bank at Stowey Rocks Farm planting cauliflowers.  This field does not have a happy history with us, being the site of acres of plant losses due to wireworm in 2009, 2011 and the deluge of 2012.  With some trepidation but a spirit of optimism we are back.  It is a beautiful field below Stowey wood with some of the best soil on the farm. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
