I left Stowey Rocks at 5:30 this morning heading north to deliver vegboxes in Weston and Bristol. Lovely morning, thankfully much cooler than last week. "What a difference a week makes"! Coffee in Victoria park with Stewart, Celia and Arthur Wright after examining the vegbox contents and discussing fennel recipes. Then back to the farm in the afternoon to do some weeding in the onions which are being consumed by very impressive growth of chickweed. Hand weeding the only option. Five of us crawling through the crop. The recent rain and warmth has really driven on both crop and weed growth. The soil was noticeably warm and moist.
